Jackie “Moms” Mabley: Live at the Apollo, written by T.G. Cooper, is a lively and captivating tribute to one of comedy’s greatest pioneers. The dynamic production brings the legendary stand-up comedian to life on stage, showcasing her wit, charm, and extraordinary ability to connect with audiences through humor.
M Ensemble is the longest running Black professional theater company in the State of Florida. The company was formed in 1971 on the University of Miami campus under the direction of its founder, the late T.G. Cooper, and his wife, Grace. Its mission is to preserve and promote the African American culture and experiences through the performing arts.
