FREYLAKH: From Classical to Klezmer presents a dynamic program featuring masterworks by Mozart, Ravel, Bartók, and Schoenfield, seamlessly blending classical sophistication with the vibrant energy of klezmer music. This extraordinary concert invites audiences to experience the diverse and vibrant tapestry of musical expression through the impeccable virtuosity of three award-winning musicians. With their boundary-defying musical exploration, these three musicians will transport you through a kaleidoscope of emotions and cultures.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Arnaud Sussmann, violin
Winner of a 2009 Avery Fisher Career Grant, Arnaud Sussmann has distinguished himself with his unique sound, bravura and profound musicianship.
Moran Katz, clarinet
First Prize winner of the 2013 Ima Hogg Competition, Clarinetist Moran Katz also received the Audience Choice Prize as well as the Artistic Encouragement Prize voted on by the Houston Symphony musicians.
Marina Radiushina, piano
Ukrainian-American pianist Marina Radiushina is described as a “virtuoso whose playing is distinguished by rare depth of interpretation and understanding of style” and a “pianist with enormous temperament and maturity.”
