KAVAKOS: MOZART AND BRAHMS

Rehearsal Observation & Lunch

 

The New World Symphony and acclaimed violinist and conductor Leonidas Kavakos present Mozart and Brahms. The repertoire will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4, a violin master work that requires exquisite command of intonation and articulations, and Johannes Brahm’s Symphony No. 4, famed for its intellectual and structural complexities and powerful emotional resonance.

 

The rehearsal will begin promptly at 10 AM and is expected to run until 12:30 PM, with lunch to follow. Please arrive by 9:30 AM.

LUNCH

  • Following the rehearsal, all are invited to stay for an informal lunch with New World Symphony Fellows.
  • Box lunches will be provided by Thierry Isambert Catering & Design.
  • The cost is $20 per lunch. If you are staying for lunch, select the correct registration option and plan to bring $20 cash.
  • No credit cards please.
  • Lunch orders must be submitted by Sunday, 12/8.

 

PARKING / ARRIVAL

  • Please park in the Pennsylvania Avenue Garage, adjacent to the New World Center.
  • You may access the building via the pedestrian bridge walkway, accessible via the third floor of the parking garage.
  • Those who do not wish to park in this garage may access the facility via the gate at the south entrance (on Lincoln Lane) by using the intercom at that entrance to let the guard desk know they are here for the rehearsal observation.
